AATG's Purpose

For more than thirty years, Northrop Grumman has supported the African-American Task Group (AATG), the first diversity group established at Northrop Grumman. We have more than two dozen AATG chapters all across the nation.  Our more than 4,000 members actively assist Northrop Grumman in creating an inclusive environment, with our purpose being to maximize the value of the African-American community.  The AATG enables Northrop Grumman’s success as a preferred employer of a diverse workforce.

Through the leadership of events, activities, networking, volunteering and more, the AATG provides a forum and mechanism for positively impacting business outcomes.  Our focus is on Professional/Leadership Development, Community Outreach, Networking/Mentorship, and Recruitment & Retention of the African American community.

Supporting our Employees

Annual Summit – The OneAATG Summit is the annual meeting of AATG chapters across Northrop Grumman. For the past 10 years, AATG members from across the company have gathered to look at our heritage and forward towards our future. The Summit is designed to grow the technical, leadership and professional skills of Northrop Grumman employees as they hear from our CEO and other top executives across the enterprise, and engage in Q&A panels.

About Employee Resource Groups – ERGs

The AATG is one of more than a dozen Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at Northrop Grumman and are a key component of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I). ERGs are formed around common communities of interest in support of business objectives and are managed by employees.
