Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 or 4. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program and other programs.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Serves as a focal point for the organization and communicates with internal and external customers and executives, professionally representing the corporation and organization.
Performs office functions such arranging meetings/conferences, preparing material and setting up for meetings; answering phone calls and making proper referrals; receiving, referring, or answering mail.
Assists in maintaining the organization's collaboration electronic sites, and department and programmatic folders. Follows up on open actions to ensure deadlines are met, and gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to supervisor’s assignments.
Makes domestic and international travel arrangements and prepares expense reports.
Assists in event planning and activities of major organization initiatives and reviews.
Operates independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offers expertise to assist other functions within the organization.
Provides operational support for special projects; researches and obtains information, helps plan and ensure follow-through of assigned tasks.
Exposed to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.
Initiates, researches and obtains information for reports and special assignments.
Reviews drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage.
May act as coordinator of special projects, following up on pending details, coordinating activities and ensuring deadlines are met.
Uses various PC software packages such as PowerPoint, Excel spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc., to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Administrative Assistant 3:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED with four (4) years of additional education and/or experience
Administrative Assistant 4:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED with six (6) years of additional education and/or experience
Required for Both Levels:
Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government DoD Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Demonstrated accurate management of executive calendars
Demonstrated ability using travel and expense reporting programs and tool
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and the ability to create, manipulate professional deliverables
Experience with organizing/maintaining/deconflicting schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Demonstrated Project Management Experience
Experience in Concur/ITRIP, I-Buy, NG My IT, SAP
Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability in prioritizing multiple tasks
Ability to work some overtime as needed
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
