As a Budget Analyst - Level 3 (Principal) Level 4 (Senior Principal), located in Linthicum, MD you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
Our Division Rates and Budget Organization is responsible for the reporting of the indirect budgets of various functional homerooms and indirect rate management. You will have frequent interaction with various functions, sector/division staff, and various levels of management.
This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or 4.
Your Role and Impact:
- Serve as the budget analyst for a functional organization, which involves developing, tracking, and analyzing the indirect budget across multiple cost centers
- Support month end activities which include reconciliation of actuals, analysis of budget/actuals, variance analysis, and other misc. associated accounting entries (labor transfers, journal vouchers, IBUY PRs, etc.)
- Support monthly forecast which includes meeting with functional organizations, providing analysis as to their financial status, consolidation of revised forecast and variances analysis as required
- Develop and coordinate budget cost projections used to support the Annual Forward Pricing Rate Proposal
- Identify and maintain artifacts to be retained in support of audits conducted by internal and external parties
- Conduct ad-hoc reporting and research, as necessary, and assist in year-end activities
- Other duties as assigned

Your Expertise - Required Qualifications:
- Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience
- Level 4: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Experience in conducting financial analysis in an operations environment and/or business management
- Experience with MS Office products (specifically Excel)
- No clearance required to start, must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, SCI access
What Sets You Apart:
- Knowledge of Indirect Rate Management
- Working understanding of program elements-of-cost, labor, material, subcontracts, etc.
- Working understanding of indirect pools and allocations (knowledge of budgets)
- Experience delivering analysis and presentations to management/executive leadership
- Experience using S/4 and Cognos TM1
- Experience with FAR Cost Principles and/or CAS
- Experience with financial forecasting and reporting
