Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking either a Level 3 Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst or a Level 4 Senior Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. As part of a Sector level Homeroom team, the selected candidate will have the ability to help shape our programs’ ability to meet challenging customer compliance requirements. Tasking will include guiding programs with interpretation and execution of Operations IPT Earned Value compliance, process and procedure guidance and training, and resolution of program execution issues across the NGAS suite of programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Production Operations and familiarity with Operations IPT Cost and Schedule disciplines. This position will be located on-site in either Palmdale, CA or El Segundo, CA, and offers a partial teleworking schedule (half on site/half remote).
Essential Functions:
Identify and implement EVM process & procedure updates and improvements.
Review, analysis and corrective action assessment on common cost / schedule management for Operations SOW and management
Extensive experience with Production Operations including Touch Labor, MES, Standards and Shop floor activities/tools.
Facilitate common approaches and tools across sector for Cost and Schedule management for Production IPT
Facilitate and lead process improvement projects, implement improvement initiative, and develop mechanisms to audit improved processes.
Assist in the identification and documentation of risks, issues, and opportunities relative to the Operations IPT
Assesses program issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
Serves as consultant to management for the organization on major matters pertaining Operations Cost Management
This requisition may be filled as a Level 3 Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst or a Level 4 Sr Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst.
Basic Qualifications for the Level 3:
Master’s degree with 3 years' experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience in the following areas: Business Management, Cost Management, Production Operations, Finance planning and analysis, and/or industry related fields
MS Office experience including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Familiarity with EVMS (Earned Value Management)
Ability to support a hybrid schedule (half on site in Palmdale, CA or El Segundo, CA and half remote)
Active Secret Clearance issued by the Department of Defense
Ability to obtain and maintain program access within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the business
Basic Qualifications for the Level 4:
Master's degree with 6 years’ experience or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years' experience in the following areas: Business Management, Cost Management, Production Operations, Finance planning and analysis, and/or industry related fields
MS Office experience including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Familiarity with EVMS (Earned Value Management)
Ability to support a hybrid schedule (half on site in Palmdale, CA or El Segundo, CA and half remote)
Active Secret Clearance issued by the Department of Defense
Ability to obtain and maintain program access within a reasonable amount of time, as determined by the business
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management)
Advanced Excel including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Conditional Formatting
3 years' experience with SAP S4, and COBRA
Active DOD Secret clearance
