Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.
Key Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Setting up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
- Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated values.
- Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
- Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
- Ensuring adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the customer.
- Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
- Preparing CDRLs for customer deliverables (IPMR)
Basic Qualifications
- Experience: 5 Years with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 Years with a Master’s degree; 1 Year with a PhD. 9 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance
- Prior related experience with financial analysis and Earned Value Management customer reporting
- Proficient with Cobra and SAP
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet critical milestones.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related.
- Cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with SAP ERP, Cognos reporting, ProPricer, and/or PowerBI.
- Advanced Excel Techniques (i.e. v/h lookups, pivot tables, VBA/Macros)
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and analyze data
- Experience working in agile EV program
- Experience on a EV Level I program
- Experience preparing and presenting complex financial analysis to leadership
- Experience with GAAP, as well as Government Financial accounting practices
- Prior program cost control experience
- Secret level security clearance or higher
- Familiarity with FAR/DFAR
