Northrop Grumman has an opening for either a Level 2 Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst or a level 3 Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will provide cost support for program activities within our Aeronautics Sector. This position will be located on site in Clearfield, UT and will support a partial teleworking schedule.
This Program Control Analyst position will interface with the program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis to meet program requirements. Candidate will contribute valuable experience and knowledge with Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts and be able to apply them to multiple contracts for control accounts within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Setting up cost control systems, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
Performing as Systems Administrator and Program Controlled for the Deltek Cobra Cost Management toll in support of Monthly and Quarterly Cost reporting
Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters
Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparation of expenditure projections
Monthly material and subcontract financial forecasting
Incorporating contractual changes into control systems
Performing financial analysis including monthly financial reporting/forecasting of Awards, Sales Margin & Cash
Driving and delivering on Monthly EAC management and reporting as well as quarterly profitability and Return on Sales (ROS) reporting
Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies
Basic Qualifications for level 2:
Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in program control, cost planning, business, finance, budgeting and/or similar industry related fields OR a Master’s Degree with entry level experience in program control, cost planning, business, finance, budgeting and/or similar industry related fields
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Financial or accounting experience
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Basic Qualifications for level 3:
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in program control, cost planning, business, finance, budgeting and/or similar industry related fields OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years experience in program control, cost planning, business, finance, budgeting and/or similar industry related fields
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Financial or accounting experience
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Strong Financial Forecasting experience
EAC Management in collaboration with a CAM
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry experience
Experience with SAP, Deltek Cobra/MPM
Experience supporting a robust monthly Business Management and reporting rhythm
Knowledge of AOP/LRSP Process
Awards / Sales / Margin Cash Analysis and reporting
Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) - Department of Defense (DoD) experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Active DoD Secret Clearance
