Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Staff Electronics Engineer - Operational Configuration Control (OCC) Technical Liaison position to join our Avionics Integration organization. This position can be filled in either Rancho Bernardo, CA, Palmdale, CA, El Segundo, CA, or Oklahoma City, OK depending upon the selected candidate’s preference.
The selected candidate will be working on complex data center and communication systems and will be leveraging their technical expertise in various technical review boards as it pertains to these systems. The selected candidate will be working directly with leadership to lead a variety of disciplines and interfacing with both NG & customer stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Technical review gate prior to Configuration Change Board (CCB)
- Ensure thorough technical CCB package generation and provide technical oversight (expertise to RE’s)
- Deliver presentations and technical packages to customers, management, and program stakeholders
- Action Item management
- Approved modification implementation management
- Measuring and reporting of modification performance
- Change agent for change Implementation process & culture
- Work with responsible engineers & customer community, both technical & leadership
- Produce, review, and coordinate technical change documentation
- Champion and defend priorities for resolution of deficiencies through Technical and Software Review Boards
- Review and develop technical publication material
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of related engineering experience.
- Should have experience in troubleshooting of small to large scale infrastructure
- Experience in managing projects from concept through implementation
- Solid understanding of engineering process with execution experience across the program lifecycle
- Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

- Current applicable Special Program Access
- Broad technical understanding with insight to maintenance operations
- Configuration & data management
- Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) Management
- Experience with data centers and communication systems
- Experience with JIRA and Agile Process Management
- Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills
- Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
