Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer - Mission Systems Onsite Integration Lead to our team of qualified and diverse individuals at Edwards AFB, CA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.
This candidate will be responsible for overseeing the onsite integration of buildup, configuration, testing, and delivery of large data centers using commercially available IT equipment. These deliveries will consist of new data center deployments and upgrades to existing data centers.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate travel and visit requests for integration team
- Perform morning stand up with onsite integration team
- Manage onsite conflict/issue resolution
- Report end-of-day status to Lead RE and Execution Lead
- Coordinate all required materials (hardware, cables, and media)
- Provide detailed ATP execution plan to Execution Lead
- Manage system checkout, acceptance testing, and end-to-end testing
- Verify all aspects of the hardware integration have been completed and liens have been reviewed and accepted by end users and Execution Lead
- Verify all aspects of the IFC TCTO have been completed and lines have been reviewed and accepted by end users and Execution Lead

This position will require the employee to work full-time, on-site in a closed area daily. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position may involve travel up to 25% of the year.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience.
- Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Special Program Access
- Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Mission Planning experience
- Previous experience with existing system
- Familiarity with storage systems and basic networking
- Familiarity with Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle OEM
- Familiarity Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory
- Familiarity VMware ESXi, VMware vCenter, and high-availability virtualized infrastructures
- Experience with Engineering Drawings
- Experience with IT/documentation tools such as Sphinx, Jinja, YAML, reST
- Experience with Agile processes
- Cost Account Management experience
- Experience using MS Project
- Experience with datacenter design and/or hardware/software field installations
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
