Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add an Electronics Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration/Principal Electronics Engineer – Hardware/Software Integration to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Robins Airforce Base, GA. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.
This position can be filled at either the Electronics Engineer level or the Principal Electronics Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below.
This candidate will be focused on hardware integration, Computer Off The Shelf (COTS) software integration, and engineering documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Candidate will perform datacenter hardware/software integration, documentation, drawings, and software development.
Physically construct rack-based datacenter systems with a focus on safety, quality, and ease of repair
Install system interconnect cabling for communications, audio, networking, and serial interfaces
Interpret, markup/redline, and audit released engineering drawings
Configure IT hardware such as switches, keyboard Video Mouse (KVM)/PCOIP devices, and develop or markup system build guides and procedures.
Configure operating systems such as Windows, Solaris, VMware, and ESXI.
Perform integrated logistics support (ILS) and inventory tracking for inbound and outbound hardware.
Participate in offsite system integration activities (20%+ travel)
Implement engineering changes to the system as required
Work closely with other Engineers and Technicians in the lab & production environment
Good planning, coordination, communication, and documentation skills are required.
The selected candidate will be working in a fast-paced work environment and embrace collaborative/team setting across all levels
This is an in-person position that requires working in closed spaces daily. This position may involve travel up to 25% of the year.
Basic Qualifications:
Electronics Engineer - Hardware/Software Integration (T02):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Ability to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ Certificate. This certificate must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
An active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain program access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds to support equipment installation

Ability to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ Certificate. This certificate must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
Experience with Engineering Drawings
Experience with mechanical assembly skills for building IT racks and training equipment
Experience with datacenter design and/or hardware/software field installations
Experience with Agile methodologies and use of JIRA or other work tracking systems
Experience installing and troubleshooting one or more of the following: Windows, Solaris, VMware, ESXI, networking or Storage
Experience with IT/documentation tools such as Sphinx, Jinja, YAML, reST
Experience with Compunetix systems
