We are looking for you to join our team as an Industrial Engineer based out of Apopka, FL.
As an Industrial Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Key Responsibilities:
- Utilizes Data Analytics to analyze existing operational processes and develops metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance.
- Lead efforts as Digital Transformation Champion to align Apopka's goals with sector and enterprise strategies.
- Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance.
- Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently.
- Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints.
- Develop optimized scheduling tools and align SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints.
- Communicates requirements planning and systems framework with IT, ERP, business analytics, and data science teams.
- Must be available onsite to support manufacturing and its schedule of operations.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience; OR
master’s degree with 0 or more years of industrial engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis experience. - Experience in designing visualizations in Tableau.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Excel, including macros, data mining, and pivot tables or data visualization software applications.
- Experience with Visio or equivalent.
- Experience with Digital Transformation
- Experience with time studies and capacity modeling.
- Experience with Process control methods (SPC/control charts).
- Experience with Process Capability Analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
- U.S. citizenship
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with improving manufacturing workflow using optimization, modeling, or simulation methods.
- At least 1 year of demonstrated manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Methods.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA Cloud ERP system.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience leading project teams.
- Experience with SQL, Python, VBA, or other programming languages.
- Familiarity with mixed-model manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with workstation ergonomics.
- Experience with agile methods of project management or development.
MANUMS
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
