Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer Software Test Lead in support of an emerging opportunity related to Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) and Electromagnetic Battle Management (EMBM). The work location is either Ft. Meade, MD or Annapolis, MD. Remote work is possible with 25-50% local travel within 100 miles of the National Capital Region (NCR).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of testing the software product in support of system requirements using Agile processes
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, the customer, product owners, operational Subject Matter Experts, software developers, DevSecOps engineers, and Data Scientists to ensure the delivered operational application meets end-user and security requirements.
- Create automated and manual test scripts, executes and documents test procedures
- Perform defect resolution and regression testing, and directly supports all user test events
This position is contingent upon Award
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM degree, and 8 years’ experience; or Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience
- Current U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years), with ability to obtain a Top Secret /SCI (w/ Polygraph) security clearance
- 10 or more years of acquired knowledge in planning, directing, and managing interoperability testing (interfaces, data quality, etc.)
- 5 or more years of experience as Test Lead on a data visualization-type implementation is desired.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), EMBM,), and/ or Electronic Warfare
- Experience planning, coordinating, and managing the use of the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) for a military organization
- 5+ years’ experience with Agile Software development principles and ceremonies; 3 or more years of experiences with modern software development tools such as: GITLAB, Fortify, Atlassian Suite
- 10+ years of testing experience 5+ years with AWS cloud infrastructure supporting a government environment.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (TestComplete, Robot Framework, etc.)
- Active Top Secret /SCI (w/ Polygraph) security clearance (or SCI eligible)
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
