Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This position is located on-site in Melbourne, FL.
On this team you will be functioning as the Security Requirements and Test Engineer supporting the Cyber Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, implement, test, and sell-off of security requirements.
- Participates in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for verifying cyber system requirements.
- Assist with the design and develop system security architectures.
- Reviews and evaluates requirements and test plans.
- Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive reports.
- Provide advanced technical analyses and document technical solutions of cyber infrastructure challenges and problems.
- Participate in team reviews of technical requirements, design and implementation plans.
- Participate in SCRUM team.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) discipline with 5 years of related military / professional Systems Engineering experience OR a master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related military / professional Systems Engineering experience OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline with related military / professional / academic Systems Engineering Experience
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or higher clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Must have professional or military experience with requirements development, derivation, system integration & test and validation and verification.
- Must have professional or military experience creating and validating test plans and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ·Experience with security controls and the Risk Management Framework and Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide.
- ·Experience with requirements engineering and sell-off.
- Experience writing technical test plans for cybersecurity requirements.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
