Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer Architect/Principal Systems Engineer Architect to its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
As an integral part of our Software Architecture governance team, you will be responsible for optimizing the way we work through the Cameo modeling application, enhancing communication and collaboration across architectural and software design functions. You will have the opportunities of:
- Development, release and enforcement of software architectural standards
- Elicitation and unification of software architectural methodologies amongst product teams
- Development of processes and practices ensuring code traceability to model content
- Development of automation supporting document generation from model-based resources
- Support development of software verification methodologies using model-based resources
- Development of training resources and communication of training to both internal and external stakeholders

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, or 0 years of experience with Master's degree
- Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 years of experience with PhD
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an have and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
- 1 year of software engineering or systems engineering experience
- 1 year of software architecture and design practices
- 1 year of experience developing model-based systems engineering products in Cameo
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Sentinel or MMIII weapon systems
- Experience analyzing and integrating large Cameo models
- Experience in embedded software development
- Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies, practices, and tools
