Northrop Grumman is seeking a Maintenance Technician Level 3 or 4 to support our Launch Vehicles Maintenance Team at our Chandler, Arizona location. This hands-on position requires knowledge and experience in repairs and maintenance of facilities and/or machines and equipment.
Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment (AHU's, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VAV's and Heaters).
Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair, machine controls, electrical and HVAC
Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
Uses hand and power tools
Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
Knowledgeable in water conditioning and chemical balancing.
Able to lift over 50lbs.
Order parts, equipment, etc.
Electrical experience.
This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4 Maintenance Technician
Basic Qualifications:
Level 3:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing industry, maintenance, and/or construction environment.
Level 4:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of experience working in a manufacturing industry, maintenance, and/or construction environment
Required for both levels:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
Ability to work a 4/10 schedule; Mon-Fri, 10-hour workdays.
Ability to work overtime if needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry
Hazmat trained or Hazwoper certified
Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills
Experience with Microsoft Outlook
Good communication skills
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
