Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Electrical Avionics Tech to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Whiteman AFB, MO. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's B-2 Program.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support on and off-aircraft troubleshooting, maintenance and operational check-out of the Adaptable Communications Suite (ACS) system.
- Directly assist AF maintainers and pilots to perform repairs, isolate problems, remove components and turn in for contractor maintenance.
- Follow established procedures for handling classified and COMSEC equipment, materials and computer systems.
- Coordinate efforts and communicate problems with a team of maintainers, pilots, engineers and logistics analysts to address system problems and capture failure causes and trends.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- High School and 4 years of experience. Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience in aircraft avionics, UHF communications, BLOS communications, GPS and other related systems are required.
- Must be proficient in the use of meters, network analyzers and other related equipment.
- Proficiency with aircraft forms and automated systems.
- Active current Secret security clearance required. Must meet the requirements to acquire and retain additional clearances including Top Secret/SCI to maintain employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Expertise in B-2 avionics, communications and operations.
- Experience with developmental modifications, and incorporation of commercial off the shelf systems/capabilities.
- Current Top-Secret clearance.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
