Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to join our team in Linthicum, MD (This position is hybrid).
What You'll Get to Do:
Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the procurement acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of purchases while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures as well as public law requirements. Specific tasks will include:
- Sourcing and procuring specialized goods and services.
- Owns contractual management for the supplier.
- Responsible for source selection.
- Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
- Develops bid packages to include purchase order (“PO”) specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
- Analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates terms and conditions, selects or recommends vendors, writes awards, and administers resulting POs.
- Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience, a master’s degree.
- Experience in MS Office suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR.
- Demonstrated experience managing past projects, roles or experiences.
- Demonstrated experience to multi-task in a challenging environment.
- SAP experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Commercial Item Determinations.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
