Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to join our team in Linthicum, MD (This position is hybrid).

What You'll Get to Do:

Responsibilities will encompass the full range of the procurement acquisition process including preparation and execution of a mixed portfolio of purchases while ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures as well as public law requirements. Specific tasks will include:

• Sourcing and procuring specialized goods and services.
• Owns contractual management for the supplier.
• Responsible for source selection.
• Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
• Develops bid packages to include purchase order (“PO”) specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services.
• Analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates terms and conditions, selects or recommends vendors, writes awards, and administers resulting POs.
• Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of supply chain, procurement, business management and/or related experience, a master’s degree.
• Experience in MS Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of FAR/DFAR.
• Demonstrated experience managing past projects, roles or experiences.
• Demonstrated experience to multi-task in a challenging environment.
• SAP experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Commercial Item Determinations.
