We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
What you'll get to do:
- Financial responsibilities including EAC’s (estimate at completion), material sales forecasting and cost account management (CAM) support
- Present to internal decision-makers and represent Northrop Grumman Global Supply Chain in organization leadership briefings, program briefings, and supplier engagement
- Solve problems of a moderate scope and complexity using established principles, theories, and concepts with adherence to organizational precedents and policies
- Documenting and mitigating/realize Risks and Opportunities
- Create and document general supply and demand strategies in procurement plans to achieve program goals and objectives
- Identify and address critical material shortages to resolve or recover established program schedules and budgets
- Prioritize efforts and adjust to changing program needs and objectives with reasonable speed and efficiency
- Document procurement plans to achieve the program’s material objectives and present to management for review and approval; maintain plan throughout course of procurement activity
- Coordinate with Procurement to optimize delivery schedules to achieve program goals and objectives
- Identify obstacles to excellence and highlight continuous improvement opportunities
- Represent GSC as a primary contact on program contracts or projects
- Interact with internal and external personnel on matters often requiring coordination within the Global Supply Chain organization
The ideal candidate must be professional, have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams), communicate written and verbally, exposure to proposal process, and have presentation skill set.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; Master's degree in a Business related field with 3 years of experience; or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Experience as a planner in a manufacturing environment.
- Forecasting experience.
- Supply Chain planning management and/or project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience with Government procurement processes and regulations; FAR/DFAR
- Lean or Six Sigma experience and/or certification.
- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems and practices.
- Experience as a planner working on Aerospace and Defense programs
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience supporting basis of estimate, price reasonableness, and commercial item determination.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, and VBA scripting)
- Procurement experience.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
