As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst Level 3 (Principal), you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems Division is seeking a qualified and motivated Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to work at the Rapid Innovations Operating Unit.
This is an on-site position to be based at one of the following locations:
- Dulles, VA (preferred location)
- Gilbert, AZ
This is not a telecommuting position. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
In this job, you will:
- Define and develop material strategy, including Analyze lead times and identifying critical path procurements
- Receive/review requirements for standard and non-standard parts, and create purchasing requisitions for requirements
- Plan inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements
- Provide support to the program team to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of the program
- Analyze material supply/demand position using available Materials Planning Tools
- Evaluate suppliers, address supplier capacity and/or production issues, and noting key performance indicators
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years (master’s with 3 years) of relevant experience in supply chain, material planning, general business, or finance. Or in lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience in supply chain, material planning, general business, or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or repair depot environment
- Experience working in Global Supply Chain
- Extensive experience with Risk mitigation
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently holds an active Top Secret security clearance
- Experience with an IRAD/Developmental Program
- Proficient in using MRP systems for material and finance data analysis
- Experience with forecasting material receipts and sales dollars into COGNOS
- Experience with Government Programs and FAR/DFAR flow downs
- Experience managing suppliers through the following: cost/schedule/quality
- Experience managing programs with earned Value (EV)
- Experience with cost accounting management (CAM)
- Proficiency with COSTPOINT
- Experience in supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, and supplier/program/product scheduling
