Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal Cyber Software Engineer - 13023. This position will be located in Roy, Utah, Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program.
The successful candidate will support element level software coding & development which includes:
What You’ll Get To Do:
This engineer will support software scrum teams by optimizing and developing pipeline automation to facilitate releases while enforcing versioning, signing, and managing the build promotion process to ensure build artifacts and code compliance. This engineer should have knowledge of microservice architecture and software build/packaging/versioning. This engineer will work to define and implement the build promotion process to support a microservice architecture.
This engineer will work with the scrum masters and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to understand and facilitate the software release roadmap. This engineer will be an advocate for the release process and communicate the process to the scrum teams to ensure everyone understands the release process. Success will be predicated on successfully integrating into scrum teams during the release cycle to ensure timely and quality execution.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Cyber Software Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Science with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
1+ year(s) of experience with build configuration languages (e.g., python, json, yaml)
1+ year(s) of experience CI/CD workflows specifically in release generation and management
1+ year(s) of experience software development
Sr Principal Cyber Software Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Science with 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
2+ years of experience with build configuration languages (e.g., python, json, yaml)
2+ years of experience CI/CD workflows specifically in release generation and management
2+ years of experience software development
1+ year(s) of experience with MircoService architectures and containerization technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Automating Software Configuration Management
Source code management (git, bitbucket, Gitlab)
Compilers (gcc, ts)
Multiple Build configuration languages (cmake, bash, python, json, yaml)
Automated build tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, Kubernetes)
Package managers and Installers (npm, maven, pip, Docker, Podman, yarn, rpm, wpm, yum)

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
