Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program as a Cybersecurity Analyst/Principal Cybersecurity Analyst based out of Schriever AFB, CO.
We are seeking experienced Information Systems Security Professionals across the country to support information systems lifecycle activities. Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. Includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits. Assist in the implementation of the required government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities. Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports. Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M. Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as a Cybersecurity Analyst/Principal Cybersecurity Analyst supporting high-level technical and practical expertise.
- Assures the implementation of Cyber Security disciplines, including COMSEC, COMPUSEC, EMSEC, OPSEC, digital communications systems, network protocols and architectures, and penetration tools and techniques.
- Support the continuous assessment of IA Control compliance for systems within their responsibility.
- Participate in assessment of systems security controls to validate control implementation and identify weaknesses.
- Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities, technical or coordination activity, prepare the system Security Plans, and update the POA&M.
Basic Qualifications:
- Cyber Analyst: Associates Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 4 or more years of technical experience OR Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 2 or more years of technical experience.
- Principal Cyber Analyst: Associates Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 7 or more years of technical experience OR Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5 or more years of technical experience.
- Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must have at minimum a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+CE).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
- Basic knowledge of ACAS/NESSUS, SPLUNK, SCAP, POA&Ms, NIST, DIACAP, NISPOM, system audits, vulnerability scanning, and RMF package development preferred.
- Experience creating/implementing vulnerability scans on Security Center (ACAS).
- Experience with managing/maintaining ePolicy Orchestrator (Trellix).
- Familiarity utilizing eMASS to maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) documentation and Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) packages.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and requirements development to ensure regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Atlassian products to include Confluence and JIRA to track projects and tasks.
- Previous experience operating in a Linux environment.
- Capability of assessing the Program system security posture in accordance with customer requirements and directives.
- Formal experience generating Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for system accreditation and documentation of customer requirements and directives.
- Experience working with the NIST 800 series and other NIST documentation.
