We are seeking Software Configuration Management (SCM) Analyst to join our talented team. This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA, and offers domestic and international travel opportunities.
The Ground Solutions and Mission Support (GSMS) Software (SW) Integrated Project Team (IPT) is a large, restricted group executing across both Development and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tasks. The software Engineering IPT focuses on the development and sustainment of several mission operational software product lines, as well as the development of new capabilities as coordinated with their restricted SCI Customer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support Configuration Change Board (CCB) activities
- Maintain and update Discrepancy Report (DR) databases
- Produce multiple weekly agendas and minutes
- Manage meetings
- Includes scheduling, running, and sometimes flipping charts
- Timely responsiveness to a high volume of email traffic
- Formal document control/release
- Maintain and publish build plans
- Contribute to process improvements
- Contribute to training new team members in the SCM Data Management tasks
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
- Software Configuration Analyst - 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters
- Principal Software Configuration Analyst - 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance with a periodic review done within the last 6 years at time of application, and the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date
- Experience with Product Line Lifecycle and Software Configuration Management
- Familiar with AS 9100 standards
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Jira and Git/Version Control Software
- Experience with coordinating/creating configured software builds for test and delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process
- Experience working on Linux environment
- Basic scripting in Bash, Perl, Python
- Excellent technical writing and team building skills
- Experience with SW CM branching strategies & tagging, pull requests, merges, and build versioning
- Ability to identify the needs to achieve build automation; experience designing and implementing CI/CD solutions
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
