Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Computer Systems Analyst.
This role requires on site attendance in Roy or Clearfield Utah, Palmdale, CA, or Melbourne FL.Although there is no ability for a full-time telecommuting arrangement, this role requires 25% travel.
The BSA team bridges the gap between the business side of operations (day-to-day system users) and the application development teams. The team also manages the Aeronautics Sector’s Project Management Office's current and future portfolio of IT projects which includes budgets, schedules, and risk management.
The ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical principles, theories, and concepts as well as develop innovative solutions to technical issues. The candidate must demonstrate customer support skills, be able to work collaboratively in cross functional team settings and be able to complete assignments with minimal management supervision. The role requires the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to learn new computer applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coalesce, analyze, and document user requirements and/or problems to improve existing systems.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop solutions and correct system deficiencies.
- Develop system specifications that address business requirements aligned with system architectures.
- Test solutions to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Monitor integrated system interfaces for errors and resolve as necessary.
- Draft & publish instructional materials and provide system training to end users.
- Represent the organization in providing solutions to complex system issues.
Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.
Work with process owners to ensure optimal system interactions and develop improvements.
May also have the opportunity for a Project Management role on IT projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- 9 years with bachelor’s degree, or 7 years with master’s degree or 4 years with PhD. 12 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
- US citizenship is required for this role, as well as an active or current DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
- Experience with Windows and Linux server/workstation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens PLM Teamcenter Application
- Experience working in Manufacturing Execution System (Smart MES)
- Experience in SAP Application with a general understanding of SAP S/4 and PEO
- Experience in working on large scale business system implementations
- Active DoD Secret, TS/SSBI, SCI clearance, or other NGPCN
- Experience with Business Objects (BO), Business Warehouse (BW) reporting
- Strong proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) to query, manipulate, and validate data
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
