The senior level Costpoint ERP Application Analyst is a critical role responsible for the support, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise Costpoint applications across the organization. This position acts as a liaison between functional business users, both internal and external development teams, and the ERP vendor to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of critical applications.
The Analyst will perform data mapping, business process analysis, and will troubleshoot complex issues, analyze application performance, gather business requirements, implement enhancements, and contribute to the overall application strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert-level support for Costpoint and its supporting applications, including functional troubleshooting and training.
- Timely response to functional user support and/or training requests.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend/implement preventative measures.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate teams or vendors.
- Collaborate with business users to gather and document functional and technical requirements for application enhancements or new implementations.
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement through application and/or process optimization.
- Translate business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure applications meet business needs.
- Assist in the planning and execution of application implementations and upgrades.
- Recommend appropriate application extensions to meet specific business requirements.
- Support SME communities in the development and execution of test plans to ensure application quality and stability.
- Coordinate with vendors and development teams to implement application enhancements and bug fixes.
- Serve as one of several key points of contact for application vendors supporting issue reporting, triage, and closeout.
- Evaluate vendor solutions and provide implementation recommendations to the Costpoint Change Control Board (CCB).
- Provide training and support to end-users on application functionality.
- Support SME communities in the creation of training materials.
This position is 100% virtual but will require extensive ‘on the job’ travel. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must meet the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Master's degree and 6 years of ERP experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of ERP experience; OR an Associates degree with 10 years of ERP experience; OR a total of 12 years of ERP experience may be substituted in lieu of a formal degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP system Materials Domain is required
- Must have experience with enterprise application architecture and technologies
Preferred Skills:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with 9 years of Deltek Costpoint ERP experience, to include experience converting Costpoint ERP to Oracle SAP in a large enterprise-wide environment.
- Functional and/or technical expertise with the Oracle SAP ERP application
- ERP implementation experience
- Change management agent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
