Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Computer Support 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the 2nd Shift. This position is located in Palmdale, CA.
We are seeking a candidate to perform a variety of duties in support of computer, network, and / or client server unit.
In this role, the selected candidate:
Research, Retrieval, Receipt, Distribution, Data Document Update, sign out & in, Printing, Laminating, Plotting, Archive, Customer Support, Tech Directive, Scan, Audit, Etc.
Views input data to verify adequacy and appropriateness of material required for data processing and related operations. Reviews output data to verify completeness, accuracy, and conformance to quality standards and specifications. Maintains internal records and may catalog, disperse, and return tapes/disks. May review daily processing logs and may set or revise schedules.
Perform a variety of duties in a Service Center and Technical Library. Research, reproduce and archive engineering, scientific and business documents/drawings to verify accuracy and appropriateness of material required for data processing, engineering, manufacturing and production related operations.
QA-type experience navigating databases and looking up tech orders. Experience navigating technical libraries. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of organization and will have sufficient technical expertise to effectively prioritize and manage the fast-paced, digital printing workload.
Must be highly committed to delivering top notch customer service and precision quality document reproduction on a tightly managed production schedule.
Able to review complex and diverse reprographic print orders and manage each print job from start to finish, including file preparation, printing, scanning, file management, coordinating projects with other departments, and providing bindery services, changing paper rolls and toner and performing basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. and able to stand for long periods of time. Overtime including evening and weekend support may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 0 years of experience managing technical documentation and/or technical manuals.
- The ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance and SAP in a reasonable amount of time for the business needs.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. and able to stand for long periods of time.
- The ability to work 1st “5:00 AM – 3:30 PM” or 2nd shift “3:30 AM – 1:42 PM” and any work schedule as well as overtime including evening and weekend support as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Service Center and Technical Library

- Providing bindery services, changing paper rolls and toner and performing basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
