Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Support Analyst to join our innovative team in supporting digital connectivity solutions for manufacturing. As a Software Support Analyst, you will play a critical role in enabling advanced manufacturing by providing user support services, ensuring timely responses to user tickets, maintaining the proper functioning of code to gather real-time data from equipment, identifying bugs in the code, documenting issues, and collaborating with the software development team to resolve issues efficiently. This role offers growth opportunities to work on more complex software fixes and development tasks with experience.
As a support role this job will require occasional off hours support in the event of manufacturing production outages. Hours can be flexed to accommodate any unscheduled work. This position can be performed remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide user support for digital thread solutions, ensuring seamless operations for manufacturing processes.
- Respond promptly to user tickets, troubleshoot issues, and offer solutions in a timely manner to maintain operational continuity.
- Ensure that the code is functioning optimally to collect real-time data from equipment and systems.
- Identify and report bugs in the code to enhance software performance and functionality.
- Document and track reported issues for analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate with the software development team to address and resolve software-related issues effectively.
- Contribute to more complex software fixes and development projects as experience and proficiency grow.
This role will demand a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in software development or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an IT support environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot software issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related technical field
- Certifications in Java, Groovy, C#, or related programming languages
- Experience in documenting technical issues and solutions
- Proven experience in providing technical support for software applications
- Proficiency in programming languages and software development methodologies
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like OPC-UA, MODBUS TCP, MQTT
- Familiarity with databases
