Northrop Grumman’s Law Department is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Ethics and Compliance Group at the Company’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. The Corporate Counsel will play a critical role in developing, implementing and managing various ethics and compliance activities.
Specific responsibilities may include:
- Advising on legal and regulatory developments and enforcement environments
- Developing and implementing legal strategies and managing the Company’s actions in relation to key compliance activities
- Collaborating across all parts of the business to provide effective legal advice to the Company
- Analyzing information from various sources and conducting risk assessments to advise the Company on compliance risks and opportunities
- Working with and managing external lawyers and services providers where necessary
- Briefing senior management

Job Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree
- Ability to become a member of the Virginia Bar or licensed Virginia corporate counsel
- At least eight years of relevant experience
- Experience working in or with federal regulatory and enforcement agencies
- Proven experience assessing and advising on legal risks and opportunities
- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with government contracts
- Experience supporting clients in the defense and/or intelligence communities
- Experience across multiple regulatory and/or enforcement areas
- Experience coordinating significant, complex projects
- Familiarity with antitrust law
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
