Northrop Grumman has an immediate opportunity on our team for a Mission Module Supply Technician - (Logistics Support)
What You’ll get to Do:
As a Mission Module Supply Technician, you will support the LCS Mission Package Design, Engineering, Production and Sustainment (DEP&S) Program. This position will serve as an inventory specialist on a variety of Mission Module (MM) equipment.
The selected candidate will support the operations of the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) in outfitting and replenishing Surface Warfare (SUW) and Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Modules (MMs) inventories both ashore and aboard LCS Class Ships. The candidate will be working with DEP&S and government teammates in the inventory and loadout of spares, tools and equipment in the Mission Module Support Containers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform complete inventories and request replenishment parts and material using Northrop Grumman and Navy procurement methods
- Verify serialized MM sub-components using configuration verification sheets (CVS)
- Maintain Pack-Up Kit (PUK) and pre-expended bin (Pre-Ex) inventories
- Determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.
- Manage tool room inventory issuing tools and materials to technicians
- Maintain calibrated tool inventory using METCAL calibration tool database
- Maintain weight handling equipment (WHE) and rigging gear inventory
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs required for generating DD1149, DD1348-1, DD-1348-6 and DD-250.
- Comply with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements.
- Maintain inventory data bases for material stocked in store rooms and warehouses.
- Maintain financial records and generate reports using the R-Supply system.
- Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of shipboard maintenance availabilities
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years related experience.
- Must have a Logistics Specialist/Storekeeper/Inventory related background (i.e., developing requisitions for and managing records of equipment, components, repair parts and related materials).
- Interim Secret Clearance required to start and must have the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite of products and Adobe Acrobat.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must pass the basic DOT physical exam to obtain forklift and crane licenses, as well as pass proficiency tests.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% local and OCONUS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experienced with ordering, issuing, and stocking parts/materials utilizing the Navy Supply (NAVSUP) systems, such as, RSupply, OMS-NG and/or other Navy systems.
- Familiar with the Ship’s Maintenance and Material Management (3M), Preventive Maintenance system and its interaction with Navy Supply.
- Experience with the LCS Class program highly desired.
- HAZMAT, HAZMIN, HAZWASTE, HAZWOPER Qualified.
- Experience with tools calibration (METCAL).
- Knowledge and inter-workings of the Navy's Material handling Equipment (MHE) program elements.
- Experience as a NAVY or Coast Guard SK2, LS2, or equivalent MOS position with the USMC.
- Licensed Forklift Operator.
