Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Production Operator 2 based out of Apopka, FL.
Responsibilities include:
The Semiconductor Manufacturing Operator will operate fabrication equipment to process semiconductor materials and devices. Setup and operation of standard and specialized solid-state processing equipment, utilizing processes such as deposition, metrology, etching, metal plating, and wafer dicing/thinning. Operators will work under-documented specifications, performing inspections, data entry, and collaborating with Engineers and Technicians to ensure productivity and quality.
- Train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift upon training completion (10% shift premium for 2nd shift).
- Operate and monitor equipment to process wafers through applicable manufacturing stages.
- Perform inspections, clean the work environment, and handle data entry tasks.
- Recognize issues requiring Technician or Engineer intervention and suggest productivity improvements.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodology for process diagnosis and interpretation.
- Execute production processes per documented specifications.
- Communicate effectively and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to wear cleanroom garments and work in an ESD environment.
- Strong eye-hand coordination, good observation skills, and hand dexterity for wafer handling.
- Ability to lift, hold, and manipulate FOUPs (up to 25 pounds) and wafers using a vacuum wand.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience or 1 year of semiconductor manufacturing experience (cleanroom).
- Experience working with and around chemicals (training and protective equipment provided).
- Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and math skills.
- U.S. citizenship
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Wafer handling experience.
- Security clearance.
