Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Machinist to join our Hopkinton, MA Flight Systems Group. We are a world-class manufacturer of Passive Microwave Components for military aircraft and launch vehicles. Our work is mission critical and directly contributes to national security.

Some Responsibilities include the following:
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Install and adjust cutting tools consistent with type and size of material being machined.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent/GED and 2+ years of relevant work or related education
- 1+ years of experience setting up and operating Proto TRAK Control
- Set up and run Southwestern DPM Bed/Knee Mills with Proto TRAK controls.
- Operate hand and power tools to deburr precision and complex machine parts in accordance with semi-complicated engineering blueprints and route sheets to close tolerances.
- US Citizenship
- Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds and stand for 4 hours at a time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or Trade School certification
- Silver torch brazing experience
- Experience with machining copper
- Southwestern milling machines
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
