Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO) is looking for a highly motivated Inspector. The Inspector will perform operations associated with the inspection of laser diode products. All work takes place in a team-oriented cleanroom. Responsibilities are subject to change dependent upon your personal experience/strengths and specific needs of Cutting Edge Optronics.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks related to the inspection of laser diode assemblies
- Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and pass/fail criteria
- Mark items with detail, such as accept/reject status
- Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems
- Inspect or measure materials or products for conformance to specifications
- Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products and materials
- Adjust or clean products to correct defects found during inspection
- Classify or sort products according to pass/fail status and/or other specifications
- Enter product into database system based on traceable properties
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experienc
- Excellent fine motor skills, including the ability to handle small, fragile materials using tweezers
- Able to work long hours using a stereo zoom microscope or a high power microscope
- Comfortable wearing full cleanroom attire
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to follow written operational procedures
- Willingness and capability to learn new tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-year technical associate degree
- Experience with microscopes
- Knowledge of optics and/or electronics
- IPC-A-610 certified
- Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
