Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking talented Receiving Inspectors to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ in the Global Autonomous & Tactical Solutions Operating Unit supporting multiple programs and efforts and ensuring Quality Products are delivered to our customers.
The selected candidates will perform the following:
- Perform inspection activities including but not limited to Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, Virtual/Desktop Inspection, using calibrated tooling, drawings, specifications and engineering data to determine acceptability of products to contract and Northrop Grumman requirements.
- Interacts with internal and external customers on issues requiring coordination between organizations in a professional manner.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written), and organizational skills. Must work well in a team setting.
- Have strong attention to detail and work with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Qualifications
Receiving Inspector (level 2)
- High School Diploma with 2 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality; OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 0 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or production control, global supply chain, and/or quality OR 4 or more years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality experience in lieu of degree.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Receiving Inspector (level 3)
- High School Diploma with 4 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality; OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or production control, global supply chain, and/or quality OR 6 or more years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality experience in lieu of degree.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 audits and principles.
- Experience using S4 ERP system.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis.
- Familiarity with inspection tooling such as micrometers, calipers and height gauges.
- Experience with ANSI Y14.5 drawing interpretation.
- Experience with any of the following airframes is desired: E2, F18, B2, Global Hawk or F5/T38.
- Awareness of or trained to IPC 620 and or J-STD-001.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
