Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Mission Assurance Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA where technology and teamwork come together.
Job Description:
- Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Leads a team of skilled professionals in ensuring product quality. Recruits, trains and mentors the next generation of NDT professionals to help develop new inspection techniques for current and future products.
- Executes daily activities for multi-shift operations and will be the face of NDT for all Programs. Develops and implements testing and inspection procedures. Leads the team that tests raw material, chemicals, and/or finished product to quality controls to ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable government regulations.
- Recommends corrective action where necessary. Fulfills staffing requirements including hiring and tracking of personnel. Manages indirect budgets and stays within budget. Submits annually capital request submittals tracking, delivery and providing oversight thru assigning property numbers as proof of receipt. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 5-10 years of experience in a Quality Assurance/Quality Management role with at least 5 years of that experience in an Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industry, or H.S. Diploma and 9+ years of that experience in an Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industry
- 1-5 years of Non-Destructive Inspection Experience
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Active DoD clearance as well as the ability to obtain/maintain Program Special access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aviation Inspection Experience
- Root Cause Analysis
- LEAN - Six Sigma (Green or Black belt)
- ASNT LV III in multiple methods
- Previous Level II Experience
- 5-10 years of Leadership/ Supervisory or Lead experience
