Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This position is 100% onsite
What You'll Get To Do:
- Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality/manufacturing; or 3 + years in quality or manufacturing with Masters
- 1 + year team lead or direct supervision role
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced with dispositioning hardware for quality related issues in a manufacturing facility.
- Experienced with Material Review Board (MRB) process.
- Experienced with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.
- Experienced in Quality and Mission Excellence applications.
- Green/Black Belt Certified in Lean Six-sigma.
- Experienced in Data Analytics and Statistical Analysis methods and techniques.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Minitab, Tableau or equivalent tools for statistical analysis.
- Experienced with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques.
- Experienced with Quality Notifications, Production Orders and Purchase Orders.
- Experienced working knowledge of inspection tools, methods and techniques used for hardware reviews, validation and inspections.
- Working experience of SAP, ISE and CADSTAR.
- Experience with ISO9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System and AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
