Receiving Inspector 4

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Receiving Inspector to join our team in Bethpage, NY for the Global Autonomous & Tactical Solutions Operating Unit supporting multiple programs and efforts and ensuring Quality Products are delivered to our customers. 

The selected candidates will perform the following:

• Perform inspection activities including but not limited to Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, Virtual/Desktop Inspection, using calibrated tooling, drawings, specifications and engineering data to determine acceptability of products to contract and Northrop Grumman requirements.
• Interacts with internal and external customers on issues requiring coordination between organizations in a professional manner.
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written), and organizational skills. Must work well in a team setting.  
• Have strong attention to detail and work with an appropriate sense of urgency.

Qualifications

Receiving Inspector (level 4)

• High School Diploma with 6 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality; OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or production control, global supply chain, and/or quality OR 8 or more years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality experience in lieu of degree.
• Capable of performing detailed inspections with minimal oversight.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experienced in the use of inspection tooling, such as micrometers, height gauges and calipers.
• Experienced with interpretation of Engineering Drawings.
• Experience in the use of ERP systems to document inspections.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or able to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using S4 ERP system.
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis. Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 audits and principles.
• Experience with ANSI Y14.5 drawing interpretation.
• Experience with Aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
• Awareness of or trained to IPC 620 and or J-STD-001.
