Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Receiving Inspector to join our team in Bethpage, NY for the Global Autonomous & Tactical Solutions Operating Unit supporting multiple programs and efforts and ensuring Quality Products are delivered to our customers.
The selected candidates will perform the following:
- Perform inspection activities including but not limited to Receiving Inspection, Source Inspection, Virtual/Desktop Inspection, using calibrated tooling, drawings, specifications and engineering data to determine acceptability of products to contract and Northrop Grumman requirements.
- Interacts with internal and external customers on issues requiring coordination between organizations in a professional manner.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written), and organizational skills. Must work well in a team setting.
- Have strong attention to detail and work with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Qualifications
Receiving Inspector (level 4)
- High School Diploma with 6 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality; OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 4 or more years of engineering, manufacturing, or production control, global supply chain, and/or quality OR 8 or more years of relevant engineering, manufacturing, production control, global supply chain, and/or quality experience in lieu of degree.
- Capable of performing detailed inspections with minimal oversight.
- Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experienced in the use of inspection tooling, such as micrometers, height gauges and calipers.
- Experienced with interpretation of Engineering Drawings.
- Experience in the use of ERP systems to document inspections.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or able to obtain DoD Secret Security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using S4 ERP system.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis. Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 audits and principles.
- Experience with ANSI Y14.5 drawing interpretation.
- Experience with Aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
- Awareness of or trained to IPC 620 and or J-STD-001.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
