Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a SCA Engineering Technician 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA. The SCA Engineering Technician 1 is responsible for supporting repair, production and manufacturing processes. Will repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be repairing highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to the following and other similar tasks:
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations and solder work on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with relevant soldering, production, or assembly experience being a plus
Ability to work 2nd shift as required
Ability to wear safety gear, such as steel toed shoes and glasses
Ability to handle and assemble small parts
Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia
Preferred Qualifications:
Computer skills including proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Experience with soldering electronics components and assemblies.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
