Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) to join our Maintenance Team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Magna, Utah.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Millwright position performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, as well as new construction on plant facilities, and equipment. While this position will have an emphasis on performing typical Millwright activities, the candidate will be expected to perform other Mechanical disciplines to maintain and repair industrial plant processing equipment and vehicles.
Candidates possessing skills and experience in other mechanical disciplines are preferred. Some shift work and overtime is required and the successful candidate must pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
Basic Qualifications:
• Journeyman Millwright.
• Five years recent work experience as a Journeyman Millwright with skills in maintaining and repair of industrial plant processing equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to pass the Safe Explosive Act (SEA) background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Plumber / Pipefitter
• Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Certified Welder
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
Education/Certifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Certification as a Journeyman Millwright, having completed apprenticeship and applicable training from an accredited institute.
