Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is looking for a Manager, Programs Level 1 to support the Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) organization onsite in Linthicum, MD. The primary objective of this position will be the development of hardware subsystems under the direction of a senior program manager. This is a great opportunity for someone technical to make the transition into program management with additional cost and schedule responsibility.
What You'll Get to Do:
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program.
- Interfacing with internal and external customers, vendors, and company support organizations.
- Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders.
- Developing and monitoring adherence to the change management process.
- Addressing workforce planning.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years, Master’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience supporting Government proposals, contracts and/or project management.
- Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either product lead, integrated program team lead or cost account manager.
- Technical background and experience with the development of mechanical subsystems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- US Citizenship.
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SAP level clearance after starting..
Preferred Qualifications:
- STEM Degree.
- Experience with NX and Teamcenter.
- Experience as a cost account manager.
- Change Management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
