SITR is part of NG Space Sector’s Launch and Missile Defense Division (LMDS). We are seeking a candidate to fill a Principal Technical Services Project Management / Sr. Principal Technical Services Project Management position. The right person will assist the Program Site Lead in overseeing approximately 40 team members across three departments, ensuring the delivery and execution of 24/7 operations, sustainment, and training/exercise objectives. This person will play a critical role in maintaining high availability standards for the Warfighter, the Missile Defense Agency, and the Prime Contractor. This position is located on-site at Schriever SFB and does not offer relocation assistance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in directing operations and sustainment activities for three departments within the site, ensuring smooth functioning and compliance with program regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to department leads, to foster a collaborative and productive work environment
- Assist in managing time and vacation schedules for staff, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with program policies
- Support the implementation of comprehensive employee training plans to enhance skills and ensure adherence to program requirements
- Assist in developing and implementing program procedures and guidelines to standardize operations and improve efficiency across teams
- Align team initiatives with program goals and objectives, utilizing Agile methodologies to promote flexibility and responsiveness
- Provide support to Government, Prime Contractor, and NG Teams during system upgrades, testing events, and Corporate Leadership visits
Candidates without a current Secret Clearance cannot be considered.
Basic Qualifications:
- Principal Technical Service Project Management (Level 3): Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or a PHD with 1 year of relevant experience. 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree.
- Sr Principal Technical Service Project Management (Level 4): Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience; or a PHD with 4 years of relevant experience. 12 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree.
- DOD Secret Clearance required to start.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Familiarity with government contracting and program management regulations
- Strong understanding of program management principles, including operations, sustainment, and training/exercise objectives
- Experience with employee training and development, including creating and implementing comprehensive training plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical background, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems related to Cisco, Redhat Linux, and Windows systems
- Experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a similar field (e.g. system integration, test, and readiness)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM) and process improvement initiatives.
- Prior or current GMD experience, particularly in the areas of Operations and Maintenance.
- IAT Level 2 certification (CompTIA Security+)
- GMD GCN/GFC System Operator certification
