Northrop Grumman is seeking a Facility Security Officer/Security Manager for the BWI site. The candidate will be the Facility Security Officer/Security Manager and be responsible for leadership and management of security professionals at the Northrop Grumman facility in Linthicum, MD. The FSO will “supervise and direct security measures” within the facility. They will direct activities that support DoD collateral and will provide guidance to assure compliance with applicable National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other security requirements. The candidate will management and enforce numerous DoD security programs and requirements including many classified contracts. Candidate will develop and implement policies relevant to security and emergency response drills, exercises and self-inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
As the Security leader, the candidate will be the primary security liaison between Northrop Grumman and the government customer. The Security Manager oversees all security activities and provides guidance to all personnel, to include supporting program managers in achieving key goals. The selected candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with program management, program personnel, cyber security personnel, external security professionals, and contract security personnel. The candidate will participate in business development activities and plan security support for future business. The candidate will execute a security labor and capital budget and work closely with leadership for any deviations. This position also includes Emergency Preparedness / Contingency Planning responsibilities.
In addition to this functional expertise, the successful candidate will possess strong people-leadership skills and collaborative attitude with an ability to provide challenging assignments, foster an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and build a culture that balances caring and accountability and motivates employees to achieve their highest levels of performance. The successful candidate must be customer and team oriented and be a working manager functioning with minimal direction.
The position reports directly to the Director of Security for the Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Top Secret security clearance.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
8 Years of security experience with Bachelors; or 6 Years of security experience with Masters; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience nay be substituted for a Bachelors.
Comprehensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program and related training.
Experience and familiarity with U.S. Government NISS/DISS system.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong skills in team building.
Preferred Qualifications:
FSO Certification.
Prior FSO experience.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
