Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Senior Security Manager to join our team. This position will be located in Linthicum, MD and responsible for supporting our sector security operations and division security programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide oversight and guidance on enterprise and sector programs focused on risk reduction to include security assessments, guard and monitoring services, system maintenance agreements, capital and asset management, staffing and business planning
- Manages the financial, acquisition and administrative support team responsible for developing and monitoring our program financials which include development of business plans, forecasting, reporting and analysis
- Oversees projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group
- Partners with business management, property, program security, facilities, infrastructure, IT, environmental health & safety, risk management along with other internal functions to achieve operational goals
- Develops strategic partnerships with external suppliers to address service requirements
- Frequent contact with internal and external personnel at various management levels concerning operations, scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts
- Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal/external representatives concerning specifics operations
- Studies and implements security regulations that apply to company operations
- Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures
- Provides advanced direction on all security operations matters while ensuring compliance with policies, standards and codes
- Conducts security briefings and security audits/surveys and risk assessments
- Investigates security matters and prepares reports specifying correction actions
- Builds and maintains relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and emergency services
This position will be1st shift, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree AND 6+ years of experience OR High School Diploma AND 12+ years of experience managing security and financial planning/reporting to include monthly actuals and forecasts, operating plans, capital management and/or long-range strategic plans.
- Minimum of 5 years of management, supervisor, or other demonstrated leadership experience
- Vendor management experience focused on contract and physical security
- Ability to analyze security requirements against supplier responses
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects within critical deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/M365, including, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience including identification, analysis and resolution on security related matters
- Project management experience
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP)
- Experience with Lenel, Milestone, Digital Monitoring Products, Underwriters Laboratories 2050
- Knowledge and familiarity with the physical security requirements of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), as well as DoD Manuals, and other US Government security manuals.
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
- Ability to handle competing demands and prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Top Secret Clearance
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
