Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman.

Your Role
- Opportunity for an experienced commercial aircraft maintenance engineer to provide technical expertise on industry leading UAS technology.
- Support the entry into service of the Triton UAS as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics at RAAF Base Tindal, NT.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on avionics systems, including communications, navigation, and flight control systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintenance manuals while delivering serviceable UAS on time and within budget.
- Identify and resolve manpower, tooling, and facility requirements, while providing solutions to technical and logistical challenges.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
About You
- Trade qualification Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) - Avionics
- Previous experience as an Avionics Engineer in the aviation industry.
- Extensive knowledge of avionics systems, including communications, navigation, and flight control systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and maintenance manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and perform efficiently under pressure.
