Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Facilities Engineering Technician Level 3 or a Facilities Engineering Technician Level 4 to join our team! This position will be located on site in Clearfield, Utah.
As the Facilities Engineering Technician Level 3/4, the successful candidate will specialize in the support and maintenance of all aspects of plant manufacturing equipment. The central focus of this role is the equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Study existing equipment and work to become completely familiar with the mechanisms, systems, and sequence of operation relative to machinery function.
- Provide technical resource to continually improve preventive maintenance steps and instruction.
- Provide technical resource to determine and coordinate spare parts for equipment at an adequate level to support equipment demand.
- Work to ensure that equipment performs at an adequate operational level. (Up-time)
- Responsible to prepare presentations and reports detailing the Operational Equipment Effectiveness of assigned equipment.
- Responsible to aid in developing standards and specifications pertaining to equipment.
- There is considerable latitude for independent action and decision making.
This requisition can be filled as an Engineer Technician Level 3 or Level 4 depending on qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineer Technician Level 3:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with 4 years’ experience providing technical role within the following industries: Manufacturing, Construction, Electronic, Automotive, Aerospace, Aeronautics, Facilities, Industrial, Civil Engineering, Defense, Transportation, Energy, Utilities Telecommunications, Medical, Water Management, Robotics, Research & Development.
- Ability to obtain & maintain DoD Clearance and Special Program Access
- Experience with providing technical support of industrial systems (e.g., Controls, Mechanical, Fluids, Electrical, Power Transmission)
Engineer Technician Level 4:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years’ experience providing technical role within the following industries: Manufacturing, Construction, Electronic, Automotive, Aerospace, Aeronautics, Facilities, Industrial, Civil Engineering, Defense, Transportation, Energy, Utilities Telecommunications, Medical, Water Management, Robotics, Research & Development.
- Ability to obtain & maintain DoD Clearance and Special Program Access
- Experience with providing technical support of industrial systems (e.g., Controls, Mechanical, Fluids, Electrical, Power Transmission)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with lean manufacturing and the associated tools.
- Must have experience involving the installation and commission of industrial manufacturing equipment and the subsystems therein.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prepare sound presentations and conduct meetings with the senior staff.
- Experience with mechanical design and concepts.
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
