Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Weapon System (WS) Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Deputy Lead (Staff Systems Engineer). This position is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
This position is for the Sentinel Weapon System (WS) Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) Deputy Lead. The successful candidate will act as the designated approval authority for the WS MS&A lead in their absence and will be the on-site internal and external customer interface in Roy, Utah. Responsibilities include daily in-person interface with Sentinel Systems Engineering Team (SET) leadership as the in-person representative in meetings, and the in-person touch point for taking in new tasking. Daily ad-hoc tasking is expected and will require an understanding of MS&A activities throughout all segments of the program and how these activities impact the weapon system, as well as the ability to reach out and collaborate with other MS&A leads throughout the program. Daily coordination with the Weapon System MS&A lead is expected.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 10 years with a master’s degree or 8 years with a PhD
- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- 2 years of experience with Modeling, Simulation & Analysis.
- 2 years of experience with customer engagement and customer interactions on both technical and programmatic issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval with Sentinel
- 4 years of experience with Modeling, Simulation & Analysis
- 3 years of experience with customer engagement and customer interactions on both technical and programmatic issues

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
