Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Sr Principal Digital Engineer at its campus in Warner Robins, GA. As a Digital Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of evolving how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. The selected individual will work on FPGA design across the full product life cycle process. In this capacity, you will utilize your working knowledge of RTL and digital interfaces.
Responsibilities:
Familiarity with Xilinx & Altera FPGAs, Implementing I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485 protocols in FPGA fabric.
Work with software and electrical engineers to architect, implement, and debug complex electronic and software designs.
Develop test infrastructures, writing documentation and ensuring high performance.
Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA & Altera Advanced Functional Verification tools.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent with 9+ years of experience implementing FPGA code in VHDL OR Master's degree with 7 years of experience.
Experience with Xilinx FPGAs, IP cores, SoCs, and the Vivado IDE.
Experience with FPGA debugging, timing analysis, and optimization techniques.
Ability to read schematics.
Ability to utilize lab test equipment (e.g. multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers).
Hands-on experience with system integration and test.
Experience with FPGA debugging, timing analysis, and optimization techniques.
Able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance per business requirements. US Citizenship is a requirement.
Must be able to work at location in Warner Robins, GA.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with mixed signal and embedded system design (including ARM-based controllers, FPGA, DSP, power management, electrical signal characterization, and interfacing environmental sensors).
Electronic Warfare / RF sensor domain experience
Matlab HDLCoder Experience
RF electronics/design
C/C++ embedded device programming experience is a plus.
Familiar with US Army communications, electronic warfare, integration (Tactical Assault Kit), etc
